Benefits of Volunteering with the Pattenburg Rescue Squad
Volunteering provides a sense of purpose. It's a great way to meet new people, especially if you are new to the area. It strengthens your ties to the community and broadens your support network, exposing you to people with common interests, neighborhood resources, and fun and fulfilling activities. One of the best ways to make new friends and strengthen existing relationships is to commit to a shared activity together!
Just because volunteer work is unpaid it does not mean the skills you learn are basic. Your time volunteering with Pattenburg Rescue Squad affords members many opportunities to obtain extensive training and life-long skills at no charge. Many care providers who have gotten their start in EMS here with Pattenburg Rescue have gone on to become successful Paramedics
Our Length of Service Awards Program, also known as LOSAP, is similar to a pension program, designed to reward our dedicated emergency services volunteers for their continued service to the community as a supplemental retirement plan after they have regularly attained an annual active service requirement.
